Recently, Logitech ceo Bracken Darrell said in an interview that a global shortage of semiconductor chips could last three to six months, and some industries face a year-long shortage, Reuters reported.
"like others, we felt the shortage, but we were able to buffer well, such as increasing production took time, but at the same time the price was adjusted." The Darrell represents that.
According to Darrell, Logitech used new suppliers on certain parts, because in some cases its major suppliers did not have enough capacity.
For anyone, the outbreak had no clear end; for semiconductors, the shortage ended no clear.
Since the third quarter of last year, out of semiconductors has become serious, spreading from the automotive industry to a highly complex smartphone supply chain, including all components from signal diodes to power devices to microcontrollers.
In today's digitalization, all digitization runs on semiconductors, the basis of almost all modern products. As the chip shortage continues, it is not just the people in the industry, but all of us living in digital.
